Micki Harris is a full service digital photographer based out of Chicago, Illinois. Operating Micki Harris Photography since 2016, Micki is a lifelong photo hobbyist turned passionate business owner dedicated to bringing traditional photography to non-traditional spaces. Originally pursuing almost exclusively live music photography, Micki spent their college years honing their craft while saying β€œyes” to every opportunity that came their way, ultimately expanding their concentration to limitless parameters.

Organically engulfed in alternative spaces like punk rock crowds, queer community events, and body modification studios, Micki learned that it takes one to photograph one, and the purest joy came from documenting seasons of life for those who are different in similar ways that they are. Following the loss of their father in their early 20s, Micki developed an affinity for photographing families and all those most precious to their clients. As a full service photographer, Micki provides clients with not only digital galleries, but prints, custom wall art, and heirloom albums so sessions can be cherished off screen and enjoyed to their fullest potential.

Micki is still deeply involved in live music photography and operates as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Stitched Sound, as well as photographing on a freelance basis for artists, venues, and other publications. Micki has worked directly with artists such as The Used, Tinashe, Beach Bunny, The Wonder Years, Daisy the Great, Sincere Engineer, and more. They have been published in Chicago Mag, NYLON, and AP Magazine to name a few. To view an archive of their published work, click here.

Micki earned their Bachelor of Arts in Photography at Columbia College Chicago in May 2021.
